Here at Bar Counters, we understand the amount of annoying emails that you are possibly receiving from companies relating to the new GDPR regulations. It all sounds confusing, right? That’s why we have put together this neat, little post briefly explaining why companies must contact their customers.
What Is GDPR?
GDPR is an acronym for “General Data Protection Regulation” and was created by the EU. The regulation is going to come into effect on 25th May and is to ensure that individuals have power over their personal data.
How Will GDPR Affect Me?
This is the reason that we are giving all of the individuals who have purchased from us or enquired about our services to opt-in or opt-out of our emails.
If you are to opt-in then you will continue to receive bar-mazing news and offers straight to your inbox! If you are to opt-out then we’d really hate to see you go but the decision is entirely up to you.
If I Opt-In, What Will Happen With My Personal Data?
Bar Counters will never share your personal data with any third parties and all data will be kept confidential to keep you protected. We simply collect your information to process your bookings/orders and send you offers/news via email.
We thank you for reading this post and hope that it has helped to clear up some of the confusion surrounding GDPR. Please contact our team if you have any questions.
